The Regina Weavers & Spinners Guild
The Guild was registered on June 23, 1977, but its roots go back as far as 1952, when the first meeting was held. Currently, the guild membership includes spinners, weavers and knitters from Regina and the local area.
OBJECTIVES OF THE GUILD
- To promote the crafts of weaving, spinning and dyeing, and to encourage and assist members to progress in these crafts
- To form a resource pool of books, periodicals, equipment, etc. related to these crafts for use by members
- To develop an information center regarding supplies, equipment dealers, sheep farmers, and other craft-related sources
- To have a fellowship of persons interested in these crafts, not only skilled craftsperson but those who enjoy them and wish to learn and share their knowledge
