Education
The Prairie Fibreshed and the Weavers and Spinners Guild are here to provide education and demos on wool and fibre arts.
Community
Each year we collect yarn donations for Angels4Warmth and raise funds for a local Regina charity.

The Gal Who Started It All
Meet Brianna from Yarn Over Fibre and Crafting Co. Brianna opened Yarn Over in Sept 2022. In the Spring of 2023 she had a chat with Midknit Cravings about the idea of a fibre festival in Saskatchewan. Well Brianna took on the challenge and started the Queen City Fibre Festival! It all began with renting a gym at the Eastview Community Center and it quickly grew to the Real District. The QCFF offers fibre artists from across the prairies to show and sell their work
‘I was blow away by the amount of people that attending the first fibre festival. It was clear we needed a bigger space for year 2 and we out grew that space too. Being at the Real District it offers more space for us to continue to grow. It was great seeing all the people chatting with each other and vendors. It is such an amazing feeling to have created something with so much positive energy. It is an added bonus that we are able to help out a local charity and Angels4Warmth each year’ -Brianna
